XM Satellite Radio says it signed up more than 1,360,000 subscribers in 2003 representing 1 million net additional subscribers for the year. Much of that rise came in the fourth quarter – with more than 20,000 subscribers who signed up on Christmas day.
XM added more than 430,000 customers in the fourth quarter and expects to have 2.8 million subscribers by the end of this year – close to the 3 million break-even point for the company.
