XM scaled back its celebration for its service launch in Dallas/Ft. Worth and San Diego in deference to the victims of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. XM President/CEO Hugh Panero said before he pressed the “on air” button that XM has donated $10,000 each to the American Red Cross in Washington to honor the Pentagon victims and another $10,000 to a firefighters relief fund in New York.
