XM in Talks With Wireless Carriers

XM and Sirius would like their services to be available via cell phones; now XM President/CEO Hugh Panero confirmed to Reuters that his company is in talks with wireless carriers. He termed the discussions “ongoing.”
“They are clearly looking for content to support their platform, and we are a logical place for them to go,” Panero said.
Finding a way to become part of the cell phone platform is a goal for IBOC proponents as well.
