XM, NYT Radio Ink Programming Deal

XM will air programming from New York Times Radio, the new unit of the Times that includes classical station WQXR(FM).
The satcaster will air Times-branded information features on several talk channels, including reports, reviews and commentaries from Times staffers. XM will present the WQXR music series “Reflections from the Keyboard” on one of its classical channels and the companies will produce a series of quarterly music specials. They will also develop New York Times Radio hourly newscasts for some XM talk channels.
“We hope that this initial agreement is the beginning of a long-term, growing collaboration,” said Tom Bartunek, president of New York Times Radio and general manager of WQXR.
