XM Passes 2 Million Milepost

XM Satellite Radio says it now has more than 2 million subscribers. It reached 1 million eight months ago, in October.
“With more than 200 million vehicles on the road and 100 million households, we’ve just begun to scratch the surface of our market,” said XM President/CEO Hugh Panero. “Our rapid growth in both the retail and automotive markets puts us on our path to reach 20 million subscribers by 2010.”
XM launched nationwide in November 2001.
