XM Satellite Radio released its third-quarter financial results, with revenue up 57 percent compared to 2005’s Q3.
Revenue was $240 million. Net loss for the quarter was down 36% to $84 million compared to the same period a year ago. Executives say the company will reach positive cash flow in the fourth quarter.
Sirius Satellite Radio, meanwhile, reported that revenue for the third quarter increased to $167.1 million, up 150% from $66.8 million in the third quarter of 2005.
The company said it had a net loss of $162.9 million for Q3; that compares to a net loss of $180.4 million for the third quarter of 2005.
