XM Starts Family Plan

As it said it would when it announced financial figures in March, XM Satellite Radio has introduced a family subscription plan.
This replaces a plan in which every member of a household had to buy a separate subscription and those who wanted to buy a plug-and-play receiver to use in both the car and at home had to purchase two subsriptions.
Under the family plan, after purchasing a primary XM radio subscription, additional subscriptions are discounted to $6.99 a month, down from $10/month.
XM President/CEO Hugh Panero said the plan makes XM “the most affordable satellite radio service available today.”
XM subscribers can sign up for the discounted rate for up to four additional radios by calling (800) 852-9696.
