XM said its nationwide satellite traffic information service for GPS navigation systems will launch in 13 more markets in the third quarter, including Las Vegas, Indianapolis and Austin.
That will put the real-time traffic data service in 44 U.S. markets.
The other additions are Buffalo/Niagara Falls, N.Y.; Charlotte, N.C.; Columbus, Ohio; Hartford/New Britain/Middletown, Conn.; Kansas City, Kan.; Memphis and Nashville, Tenn.; Norfolk/Virginia Beach/Newport News, Va.; Sarasota/Bradenton, Fla.; and West Palm Beach/Boca Raton, Fla.
The service is offered as a premium data service for $3.99 per month when packaged with XM Satellite Radio’s subscription of $12.95 a month.
