If you are planning to attend NAB, get there a bit early and you can do a good deed and play golf at the same time. Organizers have set up the second annual Scott Beeler Memorial Golf Benefit, the proceeds of which help the family of the late Beeler, who was known to many for his work in equipment sales for Allied, Harris and ERI.
Last year, 60 players helped raise more than $22,000. Scott Beeler Jr. was born around the same time last year.
The event is at the Revere Golf Club’s Concord course (course info is at www.revereatanthem.com), which features several picturesque holes overlooking the Vegas strip. Club rentals are available.
The cost to play is $800 per foursome, which includes cart and green fees; about 30 percent goes to Beeler’s family. A shotgun start is at 7:45 a.m.; the event is followed by a trophy presentation and lunch. To sign up, contact Brian McConnell at (702) 897-0275, Cam Eicher at (513) 339-1430 or Mark Goins at 352) 622-7700.
