The single-to-multipoint radio broadcasting system delivers alerts and messages by satellite by FM transmission towers and can be received on ALERT FM receivers, other mobile devices and specialized receivers equipped with FM chips.
Compliant with the FCC’s Common Alerting Protocol (CAP), the systems delivers a variety of messages including potential weather alerts through a direct feed from the NOAA, evacuation and homeland security notices from FEMA, utility notices, plant or school closings, employee notifications and traffic alerts.
