Conference is set for early March in New York and marks 68th annual event

The Intercollegiate Broadcasting System will be in New York City, March 6–8 for the 68th Annual International College Radio and Webcasting Conference.

Once again at the Hotel Pennsylvania (across the street from Penn Station, the main railroad terminal), the conference will feature speakers, workshops and sessions aimed at college broadcasters.

Topics to be covered run the gamut from production and equipment skills to legal pointers to management to marketing to finances. News, media, drama, emergency situations, Web and other new media will be examined. Not forgotten also will be future professional broadcast employment considerations.

Local talent and professionals such as Jeff Smith, Lynn Hoffman, Marc Coppola and “Broadway” Bill Lee will speak. Local tours of radio stations and broadcast-related facilities are on the schedule.

Registration starts at $80 per person (not including hotel).
