JRN Releases Jones Digital Audio Server

Independent radio programming company Jones Radio Networks (JRN) is announcing the launch of their Jones Digital Audio Server (JDAS). A new delivery platform for distribution of radio content, live transmission began to affiliate stations from JDAS starting in November.

Independent radio programming company Jones Radio Networks (JRN) is announcing the launch of their Jones Digital Audio Server (JDAS). A new delivery platform for distribution of radio content, live transmission began to affiliate stations from JDAS starting in November.

Manufactured by Wegener Communications, JDAS distributes content via Internet and satellite, contains a hard disk allowing local stations to receive affidavits files, liners, short-form programming and commercial distribution, is fully compliant with digital broadcasting specifications and all audio is prepared for HD encoding. JRN will carry on their multilevel replacement schedule of the older Starguide and Wegener networks, a staple since the mid ’90s.
