NAB Show Presses Play on Podcasts

New conference track, show floor pavilion and recording studio demonstrate the medium’s popularity

A new conference program, show floor pavilion and recording studio — all of which highlight podcasting — will debut at the 2018 NAB Show.

The new Content Strategies for Podcasting conference is scheduled for Wednesday, April 11. The track will feature sessions on content creation, distribution tactics, fan engagement and monetization and is sponsored by The NAB Podcast.

Several sessions of note include “The Anatomy of a Podcast Hit,” which discusses the creation of content, and “The Podcasting Boom: Engaging the Mobile Consumer,” which will tackle strategies behind the medium’s growth.

Additionally, the South Upper Hall’s new Podcasting Pavilion will house companies supplying podcasters with the tools commercialize audio content (Blubrry, Libsyn, Voxnest and others), as well as an Ask the Expert Area, where attendees can gain insight on production, content, marketing, audience growth and monetization.

And in the Central Hall’s lobby, the NAB Show Podcast Studio will offer attendees the chance to listen in as new podcast episodes are recorded.
