NY AES Looks at AoIP

Wheatstone, APT to present on Feb. 10

Moribund economy or not, audio-over-IP still appears to be a growth industry. And jumping onto that bandwagon is the New York section of the AES with “A Discussion of Audio Over IP,” Feb. 10, starting at 6:30 p.m. at the New School Jazz Performance Space at 55 West 13th Street.

Guests include Kevin Campbell from codec and algorithm maker APT as well as Howard Mullinack from console and router company Wheatstone. Both will be discussing their companies’ IP network efforts.

Campbell will be discussing “20 Things You Should Know Before Migrating Your Audio Network to IP.” Mullinack will talk about Wheatstone’s new E-Square audio-over-IP architecture, a gigabit network routing system.
