Radio Show Provides Musical Entertainment

Demi Lovato leads music-heavy display in Austin

The upcoming Radio Show in Austin, Texas, takes advantage of the city’s reputation as a musical hotspot.

Scattered throughout the show will be artists that are part of the BMI Artist Spotlight Series.

Starting off at the Opening Party, Sept. 5, will be The Peterson Brothers, an Austin-based funk-rock-blues band.

Headlining the Sept. 6, morning, Coffee Break in the Marketplace will be Datura, Austin-based band known for piano-driven melodies headed by singer/songwriter Jessica Pyrdsa. Texas guitarist Dan Dyer plays for the Snack Break in the Marketplace later in the day followed by Houston folk-country musician Robert Earle Keen. For the evening Marketplace Mixer country-rock duo Love & Chaos will play.

For Sept. 7’s Advertiser Breakfast country artist Jack Ingram will play. Rob Baird will open the entertainment at the Lunch in the Marketplace. Guitarist Emily Wolfe will follow him. For the Snack Break in the Marketplace the Austin duo of Taylor Baker and Drew Walker will perform. Ending the day, Swimming With Bears heads up the Marketplace Happy Hour.

The Friday “sign-off” features a musical revue, Music and Mimosas.

Headlining the event will be pop recording artist Demi Lovato. Joining her will be country music artist Drake White. Country trio Temecula Road featuring sisters Emma and Maddie Salute will be on hand as well. The vaunted local music scene will be represented by the band My Jerusalem.
