The 2019 Radio Show is thinking beyond broadcast to teach radio leaders how to thrive in the 21st century.
NAB and Radio Advertising Bureau recently announced that two of the show’s headliners on Thursday, Sept. 26, will be VaynerX Chairman Gary Vaynerchuk and Dallas Cowboys Executive Vice President and Chief Brand Officer Charlotte Jones Anderson.
Vaynerchuk’s keynote, “Attention Is the New Currency,” will address how to capitalize on multiplatform media opportunities to attract and retain audiences. His media bona fides include working as CEO and co-founder of VaynerMedia; serving on the board of Ad Council; writing five New York Times bestselling books; and hosting business podcast “The GaryVee Audio Experience.”
“Media and advertising are transforming at record speed, and being ahead and aware of what our industry and business can do to harness today’s and tomorrow’s consumer is critical for success,” Radio Advertising Bureau President/CEO Erica Farber said in the announcement. “Gary Vee’s candid perspective and approach to harnessing new audiences makes for a must-attend, not-to-be-missed keynote at this year’s Radio Show.”
For her session, Anderson will explore how customer experience is crucial to brand building. In her role with the Cowboys, Anderson oversees business operations, strategies and applications surrounding brand marketing, fan engagement, stadium design and community relations. She has worked with the NFL for three decades and has served as chair of the NFL Foundation, as well as works with the NFL Conduct Committee, NFL Health and Safety Committee, NFL Legalized Sports Betting Committee and is president of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.
“Being relevant in today’s multiplatform world is critically important to radio and the advertisers we serve. Having been in Dallas for the past 35 years, I have seen first-hand what a dynamic talent and innovator Ms. Anderson is,” Cumulus Radio Group Dallas/Houston Regional VP Dan Bennett said in a press release; he also serves as a Radio Show steering committee member.
The Radio Show will be held Sept. 24–27 at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas.
