2wcom Focuses on Audio Distribution at IBC2015

Will highlight integrated solution comprising the MM01 and FlexDSR

Professional audio broadcast solutions developer 2wcom is heading into September’s IBC2015 conference and technical exhibition with a main focus on its new integrated solution for modern audio distribution.

The solution uses 2wcom’s MM01 and FlexDSR as a base to deliver quality and flexibility in any kind of audio contribution applications, explains the company.

The MM01 is used for AoIP contribution and distribution. It is designed for versatility, providing advanced

redundancy capability and monitoring functions, can integrate into diverse infrastructures and is targeted primarily at STL applications, says 2wcom.

The MM01 can also be used for SFN FM networks with its audio synchronization, and supports AAC and E-aptX codecs, dual streaming, and PRO MPEG FCC.

The FlexDSR02+/FlexDSR04+ is a 1U IRD for audio contribution through satellite and IP. According to the firm, the technology features inputs for up to four programs with analog or digital output, a full regional insert solution, SIRC for in-band control via satellite, and automatic weight balancing of quality parameters and program source switching in case of failure. 2wcom adds that the system offers inbuilt monitoring and easy to upgrade software.

2wcom also plans to show the FM2TS professional MPEG encoding gateway, FM02 all-in-one receiver solution, FM Single Frequency Network system solution, and FlexNsert/FlexXtract DAB+ distribution via IP and satellite.

IBC2015 takes place from Sept. 10–15 in Amsterdam. German-based 2wcom will be in booth 8.E78.
