AoIP Advances From Comrex at IBC

Products feature BRIC technology for reliable transmission of real-time, low-latency AoIP

Comrex will highlight its latest innovations at IBC2013.

The Access 2USB stereo BRIC IP/POTS codec and BRIC-link stereo BRIC IP codec utilize the innovative BRIC technology to provide unparalleled stability and reliability for transmission of real-time, low-latency audio over IP, according to Comrex.

The new STAC VIP VoIP telephone call management system brings wideband “HD Voice” audio from smartphones into your on-air console as well as managing regular VoIP calls and even Skype. STAC VIP can also utilize VoIP Gateways to convert legacy ISDN and PSTN lines, says the company.

Moreover, the new LiveShot video IP codec is designed to work over widely available 3G, 4G and Wi-Fi networks. LiveShot Portable mounts directly onto one’s professional camera battery mount to transmit full-duplex low-latency SD/HD video and audio back to the LiveShot Studio Rack unit. According to the company, LiveShot also offers an independent, full-duplex audio cue channel for interfacing to your IFB/cue system.
