APT’s WorldNet Oslo Transports Audio Over IP

APT’s WorldNet Oslo Transports Audio Over IP

The WorldNet Oslo, to be featured in Las Vegas by APT, transports content over synchronous and packetized data links, and incorporates the company’s Enhanced apt-X coding algorithm for delivery of real-time audio on up to 24 channels.
In addition to E1/T1 links for STL/TSL and studio-to-studio networking applications, it offers the option to transport audio over IP. APT says this feature opens up wider bandwidth for transport of audio and gives the user greater monitoring capabilities and control.
Phase matching ensures that the surround sound image remain intact throughout the 5.1 broadcast chain; WorldNet Oslo offers this feature on multiple channels.
APT also will show the WorldNet Chicago Lite, which offers digital audio over IP for bi-directional stereo audio transport. The 19-inch rackmount unit also features Enhanced apt-X.
