The USB I/O from Australia’s ARX Systems is a handy little box for bringing audio into a computer via USB.
What makes it a little different from other little I/O boxes is that it uses only XLR inputs and outputs. It is transformer-balanced and has a ground -lift switch
A steel DI box-style case protects the innards. It is powered by the USB connection so no wall-wart is required for operation.
It is fully functional under Mac OSX, Windows XP, Vista and the upcoming Windows 7 with no special drivers required. Native conversion is 16-bit/48 kHz.
