However, for reasons unmentioned, perhaps the lingering intoxication over the company’s 50th anniversary, Audio-Technica continues to produce colorful versions of the ATH-M50 studio monitor headphones — this time in red and black.
The collapsible ATH-M50RD have 45 mm neodymium drivers with a closed-ear, heavily-padded cup design. The cups swivel 180 degrees. The coiled litz wire cable terminates in a gold-plated 1/8-inch connector. A 1/4-inch adapter ships with the phones.
