Disk-based storage equipment maker ATTO Technology has a new line of RAID storage controllers, FastStream SC, for storage area networks and local RAID/JBOD disk arrays.
FastStream controllers are compatible with 8 Gbps Fibre Channel and 6 Gbps SAS networks. The controllers work in Windows, Linux and Mac environments. RAID 0, 1, 4, 5, 6, 10 and with ATTO proprietary equipment 40, 50, 60 are supported. Up to 30 HD video streams can be provided simultaneously so radio broadcaster needs should not be a problem.
The rackmounted FastStream controllers also have ATTO’s data stream integrity, drive health management, cache sanctity and traffic load balancing management technologies.
