The Audio iPump Media Server is shipping and will be on display in the Wegener booth.
Jones Radio Networks is launching the Jones Digital Audio Server, a delivery technology platform for distribution of radio content. In November, JRN began live transmission to affiliate stations via JDAS.
JRN will continue a replacement program of its older Starguide and Wegener networks which have been in place since the mid-‘90s.
Company officials said the JDAS system allows JRN to provide control of its content on a national, regional and local basis and to allow integration of satellite and Internet with radio stations and their local platforms.
Manufactured by Wegener, JDAS delivers content via satellite and Internet. The system contains a hard disk that will allow stations to retrieve affidavits files, liners, commercial distribution and short-form programming.
JDAS is compliant with specifications for digital broadcasting and audio is ready for HD-R encoding.
