The ASI8921 is a half-length PCI card, much smaller than the ASI8700 series, and can be fitted with one or two tuner modules as required. Currently available modules provide either four channels of FM+RDS, or four channels of AM/FM+RDS.
Added functionality includes AM and FM de-emphasis, which is software selectable, using AudioScience’s ASIControl app. An F connector feeds RF signal from an external antenna to all tuners on the ASI8921. On the AM/FM module, each tuner also may be fed from an external antenna input per tuner. An HD50 connector makes available the mono or stereo line level audio of each tuner output.
There are four versions of the ASI8921: ASI8921-1000 has four channels of FM+RDS; ASI8921-1100 has eight channels of FM+RDS; ASI8921-2000 has four channels of AM/FM+RDS; and ASI8921-2200 has eight channels of AM/FM+RDS.
AudioScience also added an HD Radio tuner to its adapter line. The ASI8914 is a full-length PCI card that contains four HD-R/AM/FM tuners and is suitable for use in HD-R broadcast monitoring and auditing. Each tuner may be set to an independent analog or HD Radio station. The audio from each tuner is presented to the computer host as a mono or stereo record stream that may be accessed through a 32-bit PCI bus master interface.
