Audio card maker AudioScience announced that a Mac OS X driver is now available for its cards. Heretofore, the company had focused on Windows and Linux drivers.
President Richard Gross said: “We’re seeing our professional audio cards being used more and more in music editing and production … Macs are widely used in this area and we were getting many inquiries asking if we would be creating an Apple driver.”
On the new product front, AudioScience offers the ASI5211, a PCI Express version of the ASI5111. Also new is the ASI6685, a PCI Express card for use with Axia Livewire systems.
AudioScience has also added a line of CobraNet I/O devices.
Vice President of AudioScience Stephen Turner said the Connect CobraNet line of 12 1RU rackmount devices are preconfigured with the most popular I/O combinations. “We’ve also created Connect CobraNet Minis, compact interfaces with a smaller CobraNet channel count which are perfect for adding just a few more inputs or outputs.”
