AVT and Lawo Demonstrate Compatibility

Compatibility uses an all-AoIP audio and control path

AVT’s broadcast hybrids and talk show systems are now compatible with Lawo’s radio consoles by way of an all-AoIP audio and control path and the two will be showing off the new compatibility at IBC2016 in Amsterdam. The solution comes from the A/V technology manufactures addition of AES67 and Ember+ to AVT’s VoIP, ISDN and POTS phone products.

“Our mutual clients have been asking for an AoIP connection to Lawo consoles,” says AVT Sales Director Wolfgang Peters. “Now they have it! The presence of AES67 and Ember+ within AVT phone systems makes it easier than ever for broadcasters to put truly outstanding caller audio on the air.”

Ember+, developed by Lawo, is an open-source control that, when in used with AES67, creates a complete AoIP audio + control solution for broadcast hardware and software.

AVT and Lawo will demonstrate the AES67 / Ember+ connection with one of Lawo’s crystal mixing console at AVT booth, 8.E76.
