Axia Scribes the Radius

New AoIP console aimed at ‘value’ buyers and smaller missions

Following on the heels of the recently introduced Axia iQ console, the company’s new Radius is an IP console aimed at the “value” market.

Radius offers four stereo bus mixes. Physical characteristics of the desktop control surface/console include 100 mm conductive plastic faders, OLED screens and switchable (VU/PPM) LED bar graph meters on the bridge.

It has plenty of network capability with six 100baseT and two Gigabit Ethernet ports. Radius is compatible with Axia Livewire networking protocols and equipment. It has its own dedicated “mixing engine” (processor/router), Radius Core. Radius also is capable of deployment within Livewire-run networks controlled by other Axia mixing engines.

Other features include four recallable “show” profiles, one-touch recording, mix-minus per channel and talkback functions.
