Axia Audio has announced that its xSwitch is shipping, just in time for an IBC show debut.
The xSwitch is designed to be a professional level Ethernet switch exclusive for broadcast IP operation. It uses the same core chipsets that are used by Cisco Systems, according to a release.
Not surprisingly, xSwitch is fully compatible with Axia’s Livewire IP protocol. A release explains that xSwitch is preconfigured, requiring minimal set-up. It is fanless and can provide PoE power on four of its eight Livewire 10/100 Ethernet ports.
Price: $1,295.
