Radio World’s International Edition announced its Best of Show Award winners at IBC2014. Over the following weeks we will highlight the recipients of this year’s award.

The sleek BW Broadcast Encore digital FM transmitter line, the successor of the firm’s V2 transmitters, uses direct digital synthesis of the FM carrier and includes a multiband DSP audio processor.

The Encore FM transmitter also features slide-in power supplies, Gold Clamp transistor technology, Web browser remote control, alarms, triggers, logging, silence detection switching and alerts.

With fully digital modulation, which supports single frequency networks locked to GPS sync signals, the unit is fitted with an UECP-compatible RDS encoder and multiple ports for dynamic data services. It can also manage offers internal and external audio backup from internal memory, USB thumb drives and AoIP streams.

The Encore digital transmitter, which benefits from sixth generation LDMOS transistor technology, supports SNMP, Telnet, serial, HTTP API and a HTML5 Web remote. It also features a direct-to-channel DDS digital exciter; multiband DSP audio processing with MPX over AES/EBU input; GPS SYNC for SFN applications; and gold clamp LDMOS transistor technology for maximum AC to RF efficiency.

For simplified maintenance and increased reliability the line has a slide-in audio and exciter card; slide-in power supplies, with redundancy option and telemetry system compatibility.
