The remote control system developers at Burk Technology are debuting Climate Guard at the coming NAB Show.
It monitors temperature, humidity, flood and other environmental conditions that can threaten mission-critical IT infrastructure. Climate Guard marshals multiple sensor inputs to detect problems early and prevent equipment failure.
Burk is also wheeling out several new transmitter templates for the PlusConnect direct transmitter links feature.
New are templates for use with Nautel NV and NX series, as well as Harris ZX16RU transmitters. PlusConnect provides a link between the ARC Plus remote monitoring and control system and the transmitter, bringing many transmitter parameters aboard the ARC Plus. One connection to the transmitter reduces installation time and saves the expense of adding remote control capacity.
Another new product is a TCP/IP converter for the older GSC3000 and VRC2500 Burk remote control systems. This converter allows integration of legacy GSC3000 and VRC2500 systems with ARC Plus and AutoPilot 2010 over IP networks. Designed for the GSC/VRC remote controls, the IP converter supports simultaneous connections from multiple users.
