Owners of legacy Burk ARC-16 installations can rest easier thanks to a new I/O expansion module, the Plus-X Dual IP-8 Adapter.
The adapter connects directly to existing IP-8 interface panels, eliminating the need to do rewiring, and can turn two ARC-16s into an ARC Plus system.
The 1 RU Dual IP-8 Adapter can connect to an ARC Plus over Ethernet, allowing easy installation, Burk said. By using existing IP-8s, the Dual IP-8 Adapter eliminates the need to add new I/O, reducing the cost of an upgrade project.
ARC Plus systems include Web and smartphone access, plus onboard macros that the ARC-16 doesn’t have. Using the Plus-X Dual IP-8 Adapter allows ARC-16 users to gain the benefits of a modern remote control system, Burk said.
