Technical consulting firm Cavell, Mertz & Associates has introduced a service called Facilities Activity Reports.
“Do you know what your competition is doing?” the company asks in its marketing. “Are they proposing a change that would increase their coverage or cause interference to your current operation?”
It provides the user updated information on a weekly basis about FCC filings that might affect a particular station. “Our reports are unique in that possible allocation problems are identified,” Richard Mertz told Radio World.
Reports are sent via e-mail; PDF files are attached to the e-mail report and contain a detailed listing of identified items.
“We can also customize the reports for group owners with a consolidated report for the DE and separate reports for the market chiefs.”
The company is offering free customized samples to interested users.
