Mayah Communications will show its Audio Gateway Codecs Centauri II, Merk II and a Ganymed family at the NAB Radio Show this week.
Among new features are support of MPEG Transport Streams (MPEG TS) with Forward Error Correction (FEC) over IP or ASI interfaces; SIP protocol, allowing the IP Audio Codec to call or to be called via VoIP ID / telephone numbers; AES Transparent streaming for transmission of up to four AES/EBU signals over IP including the user bits; redundant power supply; and dual Ethernet option.
The options allow broadcasters to organize reliable transmissions cost-effectively, as well as integrate Mayah codecs into new and existing DVB installations for various applications.
