Comrex Gets Sociable

It will provide IPTV video updates as well as Twitter and Facebook updates

Codec maker Comrex is working its way into the “In Crowd” by setting up “Comrex Fan” pages at the Facebook and Twitter social networking Web sites.

And if that wasn’t hip enough, Comrex plans to video updates from the NAB show via an IPTV service.

Comrex Cool Kid #1 (aka its managing director) Kris Bobo said: “Many of our customers have indicated that they will not be able to attend the NAB Show this year due to budgetary constraints and the current economic climate. So we felt that it was important to offer them a way to still participate in our industry’s largest event. By providing daily video updates from the show floor and the live text updates via Facebook and Twitter, Comrex customers will still be able to learn about our new product offerings no matter where they are in the world.”
