DHD will introduce at IBC2013 its newest I/O module, the 52/XC MADI concentrator. The 52/XC provides broadcast systems with an additional option for multichannel connections, says the company.
The module’s eight MADI interfaces transmit channels via a fiber optic cable to a 52/XC or 52/XD core. By linking 12 MADI concentrators to a central 52/XD router, it is possible to build an extensive audio routing matrix with 6,144 I/O channels.
The 52/XC MADI concentrator can be used with all DHD 52/XC/XD/XS cores and series 52 mixing consoles, which the company will also exhibit during IBC2013.
DHD is also highlighting three functions among its software advances that simplify the task of a broadcaster. These include Loudness History, a visual tool with flexible scaling options for DHD remote control software; Scripting, a universal control interface to and from external equipment via Python script; and Automatic Brightness Control for control panel LEDs and TFTs, including numerous options related to time, activity and logic functions.
