Digigram Debuts blu by digigram

The technology offers cloud-based content management contribution service

A new suite of cloud-based services is being offered by Digigram, as the company officially introduced “blu by digigram” at IBC2016.

The firm says the technology offers end-to-end management of content contribution from journalists, voice talent and remote presenters, as well as live user-generated content from broadcast or web radio audience. The new blu by digigram system is designed for bidirectional communication with remote contributors with internet access.

According to Digigram, the protocol-agnostic contribution platform features blu by digigram software as a service and the blu Connect studio interface. Adding that these elements allow for secure IP audio contribution over the cloud or traditional real-time modes of communication; there is also optional cloud-based audio processing and media recording.

Staff can connect to blu by digigram through its web platform to launch a duplex contribution link between a remote correspondent and the blu Connect studio interface. The communication can be accepted by clicking a link in an email or SMS to a PC or Android smartphone. The web platform also offers tools that can manage the contributor community and enrich recorded media with additional contextual metadata. The blu Connect interface features AES/EBU, AES67 and analog I/O. The plug-and-play system can automatically connect to the blu by digigram service over an encrypted connection.

Digigram is presenting the new technology at its IBC 2016 stand, 8.C51.
