DVMR Launches Radio Content Delivery Platform

Platform gives broadcasters streaming and file download capabilities

French company DVMR, traditionally an IP-based video platform service manufacturer, is launching a tool for radio broadcasters.

Known as the Content Delivery Network service, the web-based platform gives broadcasters a tool for live streaming and traditional downloading of music and shows. The platform is a response to the discontinuation of CDN services in France.

Arnaud Blandin, VP Sales at DVMR said in a statement: “With this new service, DVMR is building on its expertise to provide radio broadcasters with an alternative to the withdrawal of all other CDN offerings on the French market. When designing our CDN, we didn’t try to make it fit both the radio and TV markets because, as we well know, requirements are drastically different within these two industries. So, we focused on what radio broadcasters were looking for — including Icecast and HLS support — and came up with a radio CDN built for speed, reliability and cost-effectiveness.”
