WorldCast’s transmitter manufacturing arm, Ecreso, has announced a 10-year warranty on its range of Helios FM transmitters. The company says that the combination of Ecreso’s exceptional design quality and efficiency coupled with the proactivity and reassurance provided by the company’s maintenance service enable them to provide such an exceptional warranty to their broadcast customers.
Ecreso’s 10-year warranty is supplied with FM transmitters that are supported by a minimum of one year’s subscription to the Expert Maintenance Reporting service. A proactive, subscription-based service, EMR enables broadcast engineers to keep on top of maintenance issues, according to the company. It delivers regular reports on the status of key parameters such as temperature, current and voltage, and on the performance and lifespan of components such as the fan and power supply of the transmitter. With detailed logging and trend analysis, EMR can identify slow-burning problems and issue warnings well in advance to allow for corrective action to be taken, the company says.
The Ecreso FM range, recently certified for LPFM use by the FCC, offers a “direct to frequency” digital modulator for clear audio quality, efficiency of up to 74%, management by TCP/IP and SNMP and integrated functions such as a stereo encoder, FM limiter and RDS encoder.
Ecreso recently added to its FM transmitter line with 3000 W and 5000 W power levels as well as N+1 redundant systems. Comprising a direct-to-channel digital modulator and a sixth-generation MOSFET, the FM line offers the highest efficiency available, according to the company. Additional functionality includes an Advanced Metering Interface (AMI) for detailed presentation of transmitter performance.
