ERI Introduces CS300

Four-port switch made its debut at NAB

An earlier version of this story misstated the peak power level.

Electronics Research Inc. (ERI) has introduced the CS300, a motorized four-port coaxial transmission line switch for 3-1/8-inch cables.

The CS300 is designed for VHF or UHF transmission (54 MHz to 862 MHz). It uses a compact Geneva Drive-style mechanism for rotation. The motor is available in 110 or 240 VAC versions and 12 or 24 VDC control voltages. Peak power is expected to be 300 kW.

According to a press release the coplanar design will simplify interconnects and minimize elbows.

Onboard nonvolatile memory will remember a position or move order in the event of power failure. A shorting cap allows for use as a three-port switch.
