A familiar face in many production studios, Genelec’s 1032 two-way monitor is getting an upgrade with some new technology.
The company’s Smart Active Monitoring technology, seen in the higher-end studio monitors, is being added in for improved calibration functionality to the rechristened 1032C. Smart Active Monitoring is software-based and controllable via computer.
Other improvements include new amps for weight reduction, better energy efficiency vs. performance, Video Delay Compensation and a higher SPL topping out at 114 dB.
