The Heritage, a retro-style dynamic side-address cardioid pattern microphone from Heil Sound has been rereleased.
Available in chrome and black finishes, the Heritage’s thick grille makes it look more like a microphone from 75 years ago.
Heil Sound says the insides are similar to the Heil PR 20 with a 1 1/4-inch low-mass aluminum voice coil. An internal foam windscreen and rubber shockmount keep noises down. Rear ports aid in back noise rejection.
Frequency response is listed as 50 Hz–18 kHz. The Heritage has a locking on/off switch. Price: $186.
