Henry Has Stereo in One

Stereo Audio Monitor use LEDs for multiple missions

Henry Engineering debuted at the NAB Show a stereo audio monitor that uses tricolor LEDs to display information.

Appropriately called the Stereo Audio Monitor (SAM), the 1/3-rack box uses the tricolor LEDs in a single arc. The SAM displays left as green and right as red on the same meter. The unit generally runs in standard averaging but a “peak” mode allows for monitoring peaks instead.

SAM also has a sum and difference meter. Again, the tricolor LED approach is used with the sum being green and the difference being red. The monitor handles both analog audio (XLR and BNC) and AES/EBU digital. A 1/8-inch headphone output is on the front panel for hearing the audio input.
