IBC Sneak Peek: 2wcom Unveils AoIP MPEG Encoder

Designed for in-house streaming, studio-to-transmitter link and studio-to-studio link applications

2wcom is showing its new MM08E eight-channel AoIP MPEG encoder, designed for in-house streaming, studio-to-transmitter link and studio-to-studio link applications, at IBC 2016.

The MM08E is compatible with AES67, Ravenna, Livewire and EBU Tech 3326 standards. Several AoIP protocols are also supported, those included are, SDP, SIP, SAP, RTSP, RTP, RTCP and PTPv2. MM08E works with the audio-coding algorithms, Eapt-X, AAC, MPEG I/II Layer 2/3 and PCM.

The encoder is housed in a 19-inch 1HE unit and comes with a display, jog wheel, remote control, audio inputs, serial inputs and GPIOs. A dual redundant power supply and a redundant IP interfaces are also included in the MM08E.
