IBC Sneak Peek: AETA Offers µScoop

Suitable for all cases of long-distance IP communications, says firm

At IBC2016 AETA Audio Systems will be showcasing the µScoop full-duplex IP audio codec available in analog or digital versions and designed to easily and efficiently perform IP connections over a wired network access (Ethernet).

Aimed at broadcasters for STL use or outsourced contribution, µScoop is also suitable for all cases of long-distance IP communications with professional quality requirements such as sound systems at events.

It offers Opus, AAC, MPEG Layer 2, Linear, G.711 and G.722 codecs with a packet duplication algorithm and SIP and Direct RTP connections. The µScoop is N/ACIP (UER Tech 3326)-compatible. It is available in analog or digital versions. Control comes via remote/web. It works with AETA’s AETAScan codec control software.

It is lightweight and compact (1/3 RU wide with low power consumption (2 W) and PoE (48 V). µScoop is the simplest and cost efficient solution to establish audio over IP professional communications, AETA says.
