DK-Technologies has addressed one of the more time-consuming aspects of the audio workflow with an upgrade to its DK T7 audio meter. The company has added loudness automation as part of a free software update, based on SMPTE time code and available to all DK T7 users.
After the installing the update, audio engineers can recalculate the integrated loudness value for up to four hours without running reprogramming material in order to hit a loudness target value.
In addition, the multi-touchscreen audio meter can now be controlled via a mouse due to added USB input. Headphone volume control was added to improve user experience; other screen setup functions enable customization.
DK T7 users can also take advantage of eight AES/EBU I/O channels; two-channel analog input channels; headphone output; and HDMI monitor output. It’s available with or without balanced digital AES inputs, as well as in a 19-inch rack mountable version.
