IBC Sneak Peek: Kintronic Touts Transmission Tools

Puts spotlight on DRM-capable broadcast solutions

Two-Tower 500 kW Medium‐Wave DRM-Compliant Directional Antenna System in the Sultanate Kintronic Labs will highlight its integrated solutions for high-power medium-wave DRM-capable radio broadcast transmission facilities at this year’s IBC show. The company says it has supplied more than 35 of the systems worldwide.

Other products available from Kintronic include guyed or self‐supported towers; open wire, rigid or semi-flexible transmission lines; RF feeder systems for non-directional, directional or multiplexed operation for any power level; transmitter test loads for any power level and transmitter combiners for 10 kW to 200 kW.

In addition, the U.S.-based firm says it offers isolation devices to collocate FM, cellphone, Wi‐Fi or other services on a base-insulated medium-wave tower; custom skirt kits for grounded medium-wave towers; and control/monitoring system racks.

Kintronic also provides a number of services. These comprise groundwave and skywave propagation studies; directional pattern design; tower voltage analyses; site layouts; tuning house sizing and layouts; transmitter hall sizing and layout; ground system design; installation supervision; final commissioning; high-voltage testing of components and networks; and training.
