Codec manufacturer Tieline is using the IBC Show to launch a new feature for its Report-IT Enterprise smartphone codec app — VIP-Connect.
Tieline says that VIP-Connect simplifies the log-in process by eliminating user name and password conventions. It is enabled by a system administrator emailing, message or texting a URL to the prospective user. Clicking on the link, in a Report-IT Enterprise-enabled phone, immediately provides an automated log-in and secure codec connection.
Tieline VP of Sales, APAC/EMEA, Charlie Gawley said, “Many customers requested this feature to make it really simple for VIP guests, or occasional users of Report-IT, to launch the app and connect live to the studio.”
URLs are created by Tieline’s Tieserver Management Console. They can be restricted in use or time-limited.
