GatesAir is bringing its Flexiva LX solid-state range of FM radio transmitters to IBC2016.
Available in powers from 10 W up to 1 kW, GatesAir calls the boxes “budget-friendly” and a design that “boasts extensive capabilities, and replaces multiple separate boxes.”
With a compact 2 RU form-factor, the LX offer a multiband digital audio processor with composite clipping and a dynamic RDS generator; digital modulator; digital MPX/composite input over AES192; hot-swappable power supplies; direct-to-carrier digital modulator; and remote control via IP.
GatesAir thinks applications would include translators, low-power FM, gap-filling and lower-power broadcasters.
“While the Flexiva LX is positioned at the lower-power end of the product line, broadcasters will find that it provides top-of-the-line features, energy efficiency, and on-air sound quality at a very attractive, budget friendly price-point,” said Rich Redmond, chief product officer for GatesAir.
The company will also be showcasing the Intraplex IP Link MPX. A full-duplex product built specifically for the FM studio-to-transmitter link, the company says the product is designed to solve universal bandwidth challenges of transporting digital FM composite signals over IP networks.
