The last potential hurdle to a December launch for digital terrestrial radio services in Hungary was eliminated when Magyar Rádió lost a lawsuit contesting the results of the digital radio multiplex bidding process.

The public-service broadcaster had contested the results of the tender issued this summer. The Hungarian communications authority declared TDF subsidiary Antenna Hungária and its licensee company Antenna Digitális Rádió Musorterjeszto Kft. as a winner of the right to operate the VHF-band digital radio transmission network.
