JK Audio Launches Field Interview Tool

RemoteMix One gives cell phones a quality mic input

JK Audio describes their latest widget box as a “field interview tool.”

The RemoteMix One is a beltpack interface for uniting a microphone with a cell phone (or notebook JK Audio helpfully adds). Once in the cell phone the full-bandwidth audio can be recorded or sent via a soft codec app.

A 1/8-nch stereo line output jack on the RemoteMix One provides bandwidth microphone signal on the left channel and the return audio on the right channel.

Thumb controls are available for mic, aux send and headphones levels.

There is a 1/8-inch line in jack for bringing in outside audio sources for mixing with the mic source. A mic mute button is located on the front. The 1/4-inch stereo headphone output provides a mix of the XLR microphone input, 1/8-inch input and return audio. The RemoteMix One is battery-powered.

Adapter cables are provided for cell phones with 2.5 mm three-pin and 3.5 mm four-pin headset jacks.
